Capsuleer Corporation Claims Responsibility for Refinery Blast

INTAKI PRIME – A week after an explosion destroyed a deep space refinery in the Conomette System, a group has stepped forward to claim responsibility.

Initial reports on the matter indicated the explosion was most likely accidental; the result of polygypsum contamination in an arkonor ore shipment. There was some speculation, however, that the blast was a work of sabotage.

Violence Ignites Intaki, Provoking Cross-Militia Cooperation

INTAKI PRIME – The system of Intaki was recently set alight by capsuleer combat, following an attack on a local station.

At roughly 1900 hours EST, Prosperity Station, a structure maintained by the Intaki Liberation Front for the purposes of space vessel production, came under fire from pilots of the Payment on Demand alliance. The attackers incapacitated the majority of the structure’s defensive capabilities, and with only five vessels reduced it to its final countermeasures. For eight hours, the sparse members of ILF in system struggled to repair Prosperity Station, losing a logistics ship in the process.

Seccession Bill Stopped in Committee

INTAKI PRIME – After days of speculation by an anxious public, the Intaki Assembly’s Interstellar Relations Committee has concluded its hearing on a bill calling for the secession of the Assembly from the Gallente Federation.

The committee took up the issue three days ago, but closed its chambers to the public and media. When the committee adjourned this evening, Chairman Zheet Chandrark, of Kapda, spoke with reporters in a brief press conference.

Controversial Bill Gets Committee Hearing

INTAKI PRIME – In a surprise move, the Intaki Assembly’s Interstellar Relations Committee has scheduled a hearing for the secession bill put forth earlier this year by Sahjan Assemblywoman Desri Yauvani.

The bill is essentially the same measure put forth by the Sahjan delegation every few years and calls for the Intaki Assembly to begin the formal withdrawl of the Prime world and its aligned colonies from the larger Gallente Federation.

The bill has been filed in the past, but never received the required co-sponsor to move forward. This year, Assemblyman Vishta Kenchammana, of Rohaanar, signed on as a co-sponsor in exchange for Yauvani supporting his bill limiting non-reborn births to one per couple throughout Intaki space.

Federation Political Parties Weigh In On Placid Issues

STACMON – With the expiration of the Federal Legislation 23338-501a and 501b, commonly known as the Insulation Acts, representatives of a number of Gallente political parties have seized upon the opportunity to interact directly on capsuleer communication channels.

Representatives of the Nationalist, Unionist, Progressive and Social Democratic parties were surveyed for their opinions on matters relating to the Placid Region and its native Intaki population. The Federal Populist Party is apparently not communicating directly with the capsuleer community at this time.

Denouncement of Martial Law on Caldari Prime

Since taking my seat as president of The Star League, I have been counseled to temper my calls for Intaki self-determination and in great measure I have done so. I have labored for the Federation, accepting missions from both her navy and senate, working to their ends and protecting the integrity of her sovereignty. However, recent events have taken me aback, grieved me for my lapse and given rise to my voice once more.

New Intaki Corporation Formed

The Placid region became home today to the Intaki Liberation Front, a corporation dedicated to the creation of an independent and free Intaki state in the region.

Corporation CEO Saxon Hawke said ILF, currently headquartered in the Stacmon system, is dedicated to reaching this goal in a nonviolent manner and will explore every avenue before abandoning this course.

Intaki Spiritual Leader to Resign Caille Position

SINQ LAISON – Intaki spiritual leader Vremaja Idama has resigned from his lecturing position at the University of Caille in the schools of History, Philosophy and Politics.

The resignation, coming just a few weeks after his hiring last March, was reportedly closely related to Mr. Vremaja’s displeasure with the Federation government’s lack of support for Intaki culture and citizens. In his own words, “as an Idama [Intaki for “Most Holy”], I made a vow to be an example to my people. I can no longer in good conscience allow myself to be associated with an administration which knowingly neglects a significant portion of its citizens. The [Federation’s] Government is there to serve its people, not the other way around.” Mr. Vremaja made no comment about his future, although a return to Intaki Prime is rumored by the majority of the University’s Intaki students.
