The Intaki Liberation Front was expelled from The Star League this morning following a power grab by alliance Chief of Staff Marcus Tedric.
The Star League was founded six months ago by Tedric and ILF Suresha Saxon Hawke. At the founding, Hawke was installed as the president for life, with Tedric to serve as his chief of staff and alliance executor.
“I can’t say this move came as a surprise,” Hawke said after the incident. “Marcus had become increasingly withdrawn and quarrelsome in recent days.”
Looking back, Hawke said it appears Tedric never had any intention of contributing to the betterment of the Intaki system in any meaningful way. Hawke noted several earlier conversations in which Tedric openly expressed having little or no personal interest in Intaki.
“I was disappointed at the time, but I never in my wildest dreams imagined things would turn out like this,” Hawke said. “Marcus’s unashamed grab for power was truly shocking.”
Hawke said there is no ill will toward Intaki Armaments and Kenshao Industries, the other members of The Star League.
“I believe these corps were caught as unaware as we were,” he said. “Our history with these fine corporations predates The Star League and will continue into the future.”
For the time being, ILF will continue its operations as usual. Hawke said plans are already in place to form a new alliance that will reflect the ILF’s dedication to the Intaki people, but details are not being released at this time.
