INTAKI PRIME – The Intaki Liberation Front (ILF) released a statement today condemning the recent bombing of a Federal Freight cargo port located on the Intaki colony of Kapda, more commonly known as Ostingele VII.

Suresha Sakaane Eionell called the bombing “a cowardly terrorist act”.

The bomb destroyed the majority of the cargo port and smashed out windows of several nearby office buildings. Eight employees were killed in the blast while thirty others were wounded. Twelve remain in critical condition.

An area approximately three square kilometers in size around the site remains closed while the Federal Intelligence Office investigates.

The cargo port is in the capitol city of Indradhanush and acts as Federal Freight’s main supply depot for the colony, including handling transfers of shipments between the surface and the Federal Freight station in orbit around Ostingele VI.

No one has claimed responsibility for the incident, however a spokesman with the FIO confirmed the words “Free Intaki” were found burned into multiple walls of the port’s warehouses. The slogan is commonly used by separatists and has long been popularized by ILF.

“We offer condolences to the families and friends of those killed or injured in this attack,” said Suresha Eionell, speaking from her office aboard the Intaki V-5 Astral Mining station. “ILF strongly condemns all acts of terrorism. That this bombing was carried out on Intaki soil in the name of independence is an absolute outrage. For anyone to attack Intaki citizens as they went about their everyday jobs is a shocking and cowardly act that irreparably harms the integrity of the independence movement. This is not how true supporters of Intaki freedom work to achieve independence from the Gallente. The Intaki Liberation Front stands ready to assist the FIO in ensuring the perpetrators are brought to justice.”

Tensions between Intaki secessionists and Federation loyalists living on Kapda have soared following the bombing. Local authorities remain watchful for signs of any backlash between the two factions.
